ALL-PURPOSE MASTER ALLOY FOR 750-875‰ (18-21 KT) RED GOLD
YD148L is a master alloy for 750-875‰ (18-21 Kt) pink gold jewelry, designed as an all-purpose formulation.
YD148L is suitable for lost-wax casting in closed systems. The alloy can also be used for continuous casting and for ingot casting of semi-finished items such as sheet, wire and tube.
The main mechanical deformation processes in which YD148L can be used are stamping, blanking, wire making, CNC and lathe production.
The color of 875‰ gold made using YD148L shows a characteristic pinkish yellow hue. The color of 750‰ gold made using YD148L shows a pink hue.
The as-cast hardness of 875‰ gold alloyed with YD148L is relatively high, but the alloy is not suitable for strong age-hardening. In title 750‰, instead, the hardness of YD148L can be increased by means of a heat treatment.
The alloy YD148L has high shininess and extremely compact surface after finishing.
